Careers working from home for moms?

I am a stay-at-home mom, and I would really like to have a career that would allow me to work from home so I can stay home with my son still, and because I would like to have more kids some time in the next couple years, so having a career from home seems like the best option for me. I have a highschool diploma, but I have not been to college because I became pregnant right after graduating highschool, and have been staying home ever since. And I am also a military wife. Does anyone know of any careers that allow you to work from home and that don’t require a college degree?

I understand where you are coming from, I was in that same situation not too long ago. I have a home-based business…don’t let that scare you, it pretty much just means I work when I want to work and where I want to work, it cost me next to nothing to get into and I do NOT carry an inventory of products. I market products to people who want to look younger, thinner, smoother, sexier, etc. The products I offer appeal to people’s vanity. Where do people spend most of their "extra" money? On themselves! Everyone wants to look younger, thinner, smoother, sexier, etc and I have products that help them achieve this without the high cost of cosmetic surgery like facelifts, botox, liposuction and laser treatments…everyone can afford my products so I make a very good income as not everyone can afford expensive cosmetic procedures. We also carry products that help people feel healthier and live a healthier lifestyle. I do most of my work from home and I know for a fact this works very well for military families, I am not personally part of a military family but know many people in this business that are! Does anyone know of a legitimate work from home job?

I’ve searched for a long time for a job where I can work from home, but every one of them wants you to buy some kind of package up front in order to start making money. If I had money to spend, I wouldn’t need a job!! Does anybody know of a legitimate work from home position that doesn’t require you to spend money?

There are so many people working from home right now. Some offer services, products, MLM, free lance work, etc. What do you do and what is the biggest problem with your business? Time management? Marketing? Getting customers? Focus? What?

Freelance work is one approach to work at home, but is becoming very competitive (and with this I mean that the competition are easily satisfied with very small pay checks).

The biggest struggles with work from home? When done right, spending less time with work and more time with family to me, is not a struggle MLM is a nice solution for home based business, but do require work, along with a desire to want to help others. If you find this difficult, then it might be a struggle. However, when you find doing what you like doing, then being who you need to be, will become easy and fun even. Time, marketing, getting leads, staying focused, will all become part of you. The real struggle you might be facing is analysis-paralysis. Little will happen sitting on the fence, but will cost you valuable time. For anything to happen you have to Take Action. No time like the present.

where can you find legit online work from home jobs?

Iam getting ready to have a baby and Im trying to find a work from home job so I don’t have to leave him. But all I find is dead end advertisements. I have do not have a degree but I can type. Does anybody know of anything that is a legit work from job?

I’ve done work at home jobs for years. A good way to look for these is to try WAHM forums, beware of scams there are a lot of them out there! To get you pointed in the right direction here’s some info. You can be a search guide for companies such as ChaCha, KBG or Weegy (I don’t think KGB is hiring right now though, but you might be able to get on with ChaCha, (worked with them since 2008) Weegy can be slow sometimes. There’s also at home customer service jobs over the telephone for companies like LiveOps or AlpineAccess (many others), you will need high speed internet, a quiet work space and a land line telephone with headset for these. Then there’s at home typing jobs as well, some will let you get started right away others you will need to be very skilled and take typing tests to get hired on with. You can also make some spare money doing online surveys, mystery shopping or product testing. Paid employment from home is totally different to home- based business. Be clear what you want.
Most "work from home"offers turn out to be fraudulent. Good rule of thumb- if it doesn’t make sense for a bona-fide employer to hire you to do the job in your house- eg data inputting or telephone reception- its probably not legit. if it involves processing money for a foreign firm, run.
If it is a home- based business offer, reputable firms are generally members of the Direct Selling association

None. There are None that can pay you anything meaningful.

I am so frustrated!

I’ve worked with so many work from home jobs and cant seem to find one that is actually legitimate. Do legitimate work from home jobs exist? If so, where can I find one?

As a work at home mom, I’ve found that a lot of these programs are not legitimate… I have tried about five or six of these programs and have had decent success with only a couple. Some of them require you to pay money to learn…

But since when was there ever a business that didn’t need a small amount of start up money? Every business requires some kind of monetary investment.

I suggest trying the program below. I’ve stuck with it for about 7 months now and have had a ton of success with it. Be weary of other programs. Like I said, many of them are scams, but there are some legitimate ones out there too. Good luck Roger!

I would like to find a legit work from home opportunity. I’ve done yahoo searches but I just can’t seem to find anything that seems legit. I have 3 yrs of telemarketing experience and at least 1 yr of secretarial experience. It would be nice if I could find like an inbound telemarketing position from home or a data entry position from home. Does anyone know of any legit work from home opportunities? Are there any websites that list work from home opportunities?

Has working from home caused you to become stir crazy and unproductive?

A year ago I started my own business and it has gone very well. I’ve been working from home. However, I often get extremely stir crazy because I’m sitting in my small, extra bedroom doing my work. Then I find it easy to get distracted and thus end up working longer than I need to. I am thinking about renting a small office. Have you had the same experience?

I think I would be more suited to work from home as I have fluctuating health problems. I dont want to claim sickness benefits but I find it difficult to hold down a full-time jobs. This makes me think the flexibility of working at home would suite me.
I have seen A LOT of scams out there for ‘work from home’ schemes so want to stay well clear of them. But wonder what proffesional careers you can have from home?
If it helps me areas of interest are caring roles, writing, administration and crafts.

Well it depends on what skill you have
audio and video transcriptioning, voice over, article writting, virtual assitant, proof reading, copy paste jobs, making slide shows and etc.
Just make sure to register into a legit site. Other requires a small registration fee while others doesnt.
